Former #1 debt collector turned debt settlement expert with 30+ years turning debt problems into solutions.
When Jared was in the collection industry, he took the exact same approach that he takes today with his clients. He was reasonable and logical, he treated people the way he wanted to be treated himself, he made it a point to be as approachable and friendly as possible, and he took the time to understand each situation so he could play the role of problem solver rather than debt collector.
He quickly learned that people who fall behind on their debts want to pay them — and the reason they were in collections was because they simply couldn’t afford them. That realization became his mission: to help people who normally couldn’t afford to resolve their past-due debts finally do so.
In 1995, at just 19 years old, he started his debt collection career at IC System — one of the largest and most established debt collection agencies in the United States at the time. With multiple offices nationwide and around one thousand active debt collectors, IC System gave him intense, high-volume experience in debt collection very early in his career.
From November 1998 through June 2000, he worked at the Law Firm of P. Scott Lowery, an office operating under the Collect America umbrella. Collect America, at the time, was the largest debt buyer in the country with 30 offices and over 600 collectors across the country.
While Jared was training at the Law Office of D. Michael Dendy in New Orleans, he was offered the Operations Manager position. Jared accepted to gain hands-on leadership experience before launching his own business.
Jared launched his own debt settlement service. His dream had always been to own his business, and after gaining real leadership experience he was finally ready to help consumers and small businesses settle their debts the right way.
