About Jared Strauss
Former #1 debt collector turned debt settlement expert with 30+ years turning debt problems into solutions.
When Jared was in the collection industry, he took the exact same approach that he takes today with his clients. He was reasonable and logical, he treated people the way he wanted to be treated himself, he made it a point to be as approachable and friendly as possible, and he took the time to understand each situation so he could play the role of problem solver rather than debt collector.
He quickly learned that people who fall behind on their debts want to pay them — and the reason they were in collections was because they simply couldn’t afford them. That realization became his mission: to help people who normally couldn’t afford to resolve their past-due debts finally do so.
His Career Journey
Early Record-Breaking Performance
In 1995, at just 19 years old, he started his debt collection career at IC System — one of the largest and most established debt collection agencies in the United States at the time. With multiple offices nationwide and around one thousand active debt collectors, IC System gave him intense, high-volume experience in debt collection very early in his career.
- • Broke IC System All-Time Postdated Check record in fourth month of employment
- • He shattered the previous company-wide record of $54,000 and the previous office record of $29,000. Jared’s final record of $92,672 nearly doubled the company-wide record and more than tripled his office record.
